There seem to be an endless quantity of eBooks and training materials available on the subject of Search Engine Optimization. Some of these are very good and others are not. But its sometimes struck me as interesting, how seldom I hear people recommending the free SEO advice which is available from the horse’s mouth itself – Google.
Have you ever taken some time to go through the free advice and training materials provided by Google? Webmaster Guideless is one example. But, even better, on YouTUbe you can find an array of basic and informative videos my Matt Cutts – Goolge’s SEO specialist and head of Google’s Anti-Web Spam team.
Some of those “SEO mysteries” are really not so mysterious after all. While Google’s search engine algorithms are confidential, there is plenty of good solid SEO advice which they offer for webmasters. Their webmaster guidelines clear, basic, and helpful.
Here is an example of a video which Matt Cutts recently published on his blog, in a post entitled What Google Knows about Spam.
The next time you need a break and you feel like just slacking off and watching some videos, why not browse through Matt Cutts’ SEO tips? You could also watch funny cats, but that might not help you as much with your rankings. Up to you!

Yes I spent some time looking at their videos and found several “SEO Mysteries” easily clarified!
Google does tend to give you good advice but obviously they are not going to tell you everything, especially with how much they change around their algorithm.

You HAVE to look at them, sometimes you forget about them. They really do want to help webmasters make the net a better experience, they aren’t out to get folks like many think, they only want to get the black hats.
