Feedburner Allowing Custom Subject Lines for Email Subscriptions

Are you a blogger? Do you use Feedburner to manage your RSS Feeds, and to allow people to receive email updates whenever you post on your blog? If you do, you might have noticed that the subject line of subscription emails doesn’t tell your readers much about the content of your latest post. Well, this is changing.

Get Thee Hence, Comment Spam Robot!

Have you ever logged onto your email to find 20 Wordpress comment moderation emails with comments that say exactly the same thing across all of your blogs? A common denominator of these comments is that they are generic and could be left on any post, regardless of the content of the post. These comments are obviously not made by real people visiting your blog, they are made by spam robots.

Bribed and Happy about it

I just ordered something and I’m actually kind of excited about it. Okay to start off, I have to admit, I was bribed. The product owner is giving away free coaching MP3s for anyone who can pay shipping and handling of around $9.97. But instead of just giving away the MP3 files, or a CD, he is giving away the MP3 player as well. Not only that but his product looks USEFUL!

The Playing for Change Movement

Have you heard of the Playing for Change movement? These musicians joined together from all over the world without ever meeting, to get their message across, and they do a great job! These videos will make you smile. Nothing more I can say – they speak for themselves!

Understanding Google Analytics & How to Use It

5 Simple and Powerful Ways to Use Google Analytics

Two Great Posts for Bloggers

I came across two excellent posts recently which I think can be very helpful for anyone who owns a blog. Some aspects of these posts apply particularly to Wordpress blogs, but many points are far more universal.

My Favorite Since 2006 – Personal Review

If you know me, or have been following this blog for a while, you might notice that I don’t promote every product launch or every new thing that comes out with a price tag attached. I made a point when I started this blog that I would only promote products which I personally use and which I would recommend to my own friends and family.

Changing my Mind about StomperNet

StomperNet teaches SEO, (Search Engine Optimization), eCommerce, and a lot more on the subject of Internet Marketing, but I have primarily learned SEO (Search Engine Optimization) from them. They offer a lot of free information and guidance, as well as a monthly newsletter subscription, and, for those who are up to it, there is a very expensive membership. But the subject of this blog post is the information they offer for free and at low cost – I am not an “expensive-membership person” myself.

Finding the Best Wordpress Theme for Your Blog

Finding the perfect Wordpress Theme for your blog or CMS website can be a long and even daunting task. Particularly if your requirements are very specific but you find yourself digging through Google in endless searches. If you know where to look for some of the best-quality Wordpress themes, and where you can find a wide variety of designs and layouts, this can save you a lot of time.

If You Want a Project to Succeed …

I believe the following rules apply to any type of project or endeavor, and are crucial to success but far too easily overlooked. Keeping these rules in mind can not only save you time, but possibly make the difference between success and failure in any activity, business, or enterprise.

Save Your Sanity with Financial Management & Online Tax Software

Tax season just ended, and while some people might consider I am a bit late on writing about this, there is also another way of looking at it. Now is a great time to get the year off to a good start so that next year, you don’t have to go through what you went through this year on your tax returns.
